Resilient 17 Year Old Tawny Port Cask Finished Straight Bourbon is bottled uncut at 117.46 proof, 58.73% ABV, with a mashbill of 84% corn, 8% rye and 8% barley. Resilient straight bourbon whisky barrels are hand-picked single barrels of quality. "We are looking for barrels that are well balanced with grain and wood. Barrels that really shine and bring some great flavors to the nose and palate. We enjoy finding these barrels, bottling them up, and bringing them forward to our friends and community of whisky enthusiasts." On the nose, dried red berry, pluot, plum, almond butter, cacao nib, and cardamom. On the palate, red berry jam and pluot up front on a bed of vanilla wafer, roasted almond, cacao nib, and spicy cinnamon. The finish is long and nicely layered with a burst of spice fading into sweeter elements before cardamom returns to linger with cacao and dried red berry. An absolutely gorgeous Bourbon.
